Come meet the happy faces of Trinity Lutheran Preschool & Kindergarten! We take pride in a staff that works together as a team to bring the best possible care and cumulative experience for the children in our school. All of our staff is carefully screened (as required by state licensing); everyone is fingerprinted and goes through an FBI check. Each staff member also receives a TB skin test. In addition, everyone must have an early childhood certificate and/or degree, or be working towards one.
Ms. Laura, Director
Hi, my name is Laura, and I have been working at Trinity since 1993. I have lived in the Carson Valley area for most of my life, and I have three beautiful children. I graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno and earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. I also have a Preschool to 2nd grade Nevada teaching license.
I love the field of Early Childhood and I feel very strongly that young children should have a high-quality early childhood experience. This is why I have enjoyed my many years at Trinity. Not only do we have a high-quality program, but we are also able to share the love of Jesus with each other and the children. During my free time, I enjoy reading, gardening and spending time with my family.
Ms. Lisa, Assistant Director/Business Manager
Hello, my name is Lisa. I have the honor of being part of the Trinity team since May, 2002. During this time I have gone from being a part-time bookkeeper to currently holding the position of Business Manager and Assistant Director. It is a pleasure to have the opportunity to be a member of such a dedicated staff and working with amazing families and their wonderful children.
I am a fourth generation Carson Valley native and grew up on a ranch here in Gardnerville. After graduating from Douglas High School, I attended the University of Nevada, Reno and graduated in 1987 with a BS in Business Administration. I have two wonderful children. In my free time I enjoy hiking, kayaking, traveling, but most of all spending time with my ily.
Ms. Jacque, Teacher/Staff Supervisor
Hi, I am Jacqueline and I was born in San Jose, California. I graduated from Douglas High School in 1997 and began working as an aide, for a local child care center. After graduating I moved to Scott’s Valley, Ca. and attended “Bethany Bible College”, where I studied Early Childhood Education. Currently, I am attending WNC and I am on the verge of transferring to UNR. I will be finishing my Bachelors in “Early Child Education” with a minor in “Psychology.”
I have two amazing children, that keep me extremely busy. My kids and I moved here from Truckee, CA, in September 2010, to be closer to my family. I have over 15 years of experience in the child care industry and just love working with kids! While, in Truckee, I ran a Pre-K classroom for 5 years. My other responsibilities included developing curriculum for the toddler and 3-4 year old classrooms, along with my Assistant Director duties. I have also worked alongside, school psychologists, speech pathologists and other elementary school staff, with children and their parents on IEP’s, making sure that children, kept on their educational plan within my classroom.
I believe every child is different and it’s important to teach each child individually. You find out what makes them tick and go from there, and make sure they have a great start towards a successful educational experience. I am so excited to be working at Trinity! This is a wonderful school filled with amazing people and teachers.

Hello, I have been teaching in Christian elementary schools for 19 years. I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, and I mainly taught third, fourth, and fifth grade students before I began working here at Trinity in 2017.
I married my wonderful husband in 1990 and we have two terrific adult children and one grandson who attends Trinity!
At work, I love the children’s smiles, receiving hugs, and seeing their wonderful artwork. Also, I love seeing a child’s face light up when they learn something new!

Hi, my name is Jessica, and I was born and raised in the Carson Valley. I attended Trinity myself when I was younger and I am very excited to have the opportunity to now be a teacher in the Monkey room. I graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2014 with my bachelors degree in Human Development and Family Studies and I am now continuing my educational adventure and pursuing my Masters in Library and Information Sciences.
During my free time, when I am not studying or working, I enjoy camping, reading, and walking my goofball of a dog.
Ms. Samantha, Pre-K Sea Turtles & Eagles Teacher
I have lived in Gardnerville since 1994 when my family moved to the area from Van Nuys, California. I was only 5 years old at the time, so the Carson Valley has always been — and will always be — my home. I am a mother to a beautiful daughter, who is lucky enough to attend the same elementary school that I did at her age. The majority of my very large family lives here and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Growing up with a lot of kids around, I realized at a very young age that helping children is what I love most. It is such a wonderful thing to get to know the children at Trinity, and to watch them grow and discover new things. Still today, I remember my teachers who had a big impact on my life. I pray that I can be that special person for others to remember after they have grown.
Teaching children is what I live for. It is why being a part of the Trinity team isn’t just a job for me – it is a dream come true to be a part of so many munchkins lives and to get to know their families. I am so blessed to be a teacher here at Trinity Lutheran and to share my love for kids and the Lord with everyone possible. I feel at home here. With all the love from the staff and children that I get every day, I will never want to be anywhere else.
Ms. Maile, Kindergarten Knights Teacher
Hi, my name is Maile, and I am thrilled to be teaching the Kindergarten Knights at Trinity. Each day I look forward to the rewarding and fulfilling time spent with the committed staff, families and of course the children. I am married and have three children. They are wonderful and keep me inspired…as well as, very busy in my spare time.
I hold a Bachelors of Science in Child Family Psychology, with an emphasis on early childhood development. I also hold a K-8th Teacher Licensure for the state of Nevada. I am close to completing my Masters in Education, which I hope to finish up in the near future.
Teaching young children is one of my passions, being able to share the gift of Christ’s love while teaching is an even greater joy. I look forward to meeting all of you.
